This artifact might be my favorite on this website. We start out in the beginning of the map where it says "Reframing" and everything webs off from there. In order to reframe behavior, teachers must understand why the behavior is happening at what they can do with the behavior to help the classroom instead of stopping the behavior completely and basically telling the student it is not okay for them to be himself. Teachers must understand different perceptions and interpretations of the behavior. What the student's family might see as okay can be the complete opposite in the classroom, and that is something that may be discussed at parent-teacher conferences. A teacher must also find ways to make the behavior useful in the classroom as well. A student who is impulsive and highly energetic can assist the teacher by passing out worksheets or running to the office to obtain material for the class. If students are behaving a certain way because of anger or stress, it is the teacher's responsibility to find the root of that anger and stress and find ways to relieve the student of those feelings to make the classroom a better place for them.
